Midweek Training Spins

With the hour added onto the evenings, its time to get out on your bikes during the week.

Anyone interested in a quick spin on Tuesday and Friday evening’s, a group leaves from Buckley’s Cycles at 6:15pm sharp.

As we have several racers in this group the speed is kept high and a good degree of fitness is required in order to stay safely in the group. There are normally a couple of different routes used during the summer. A loop of Croghan Hill, taking in Daingean, Tyrellspass and Kilbeggan or an ascent of The Cut through Clonaslee being two of the more popular routes.

Distance is normally around 50km (30 miles for anyone born before the eighties!)
